Poll on Withdrawn Bids Rule
Please answer the poll below. Beyond withdrawing the first bid, should we have a penalty for withdrawing bids or just simply prohibit them.

I suggest banning withdrawals, other than the initial bid, and penalty for exceeding available points with bids. A penalty with some bite, along the lines of NCAA sanctions.

I'm going to be working on a system soon that we might use for future season's recruiting that will make it impossible to go over your recruiting points, and will update in real time and track everyone's points so you will always know how many points you have. The idea is if you post a bid that exceeds your available points, the bid will be blocked and yiou get a prompt that says "this bid exceeds your avaiable points."
Once I have this created we will beta test it. It will also implement the rule we adopt on withdrawing bids too.
More news on this coming soon. So if we make exceeding the points no possible, we may not need a penalty for doing so. With our current system, we likely would need one.

I also favor the banning bid withdrawals after the first one over a penalty. As I see it , the penalty is like the tax penalty they had under the original Affordable Care /Act (AKA "ObamaCare") that one had to pay in their taxes for not having health insurance. Those who could not affordable health insurance were hit with the penalty by the IRS but still couldn't afford to buy health insurance, so it penalized when they didn't want (people being uninsured) without the solving the problem. A team penalized for doing this loses points and fails to sign a player for those points, will learn a lesson but will also have a weaker recruiting class. I say ban it make them pay the points they bid on the player and if they win the bid, sign the player.
In this case, Shark Dude bids up THREE 5-star players to 98.5 of his 100 points, he broke it, he bought it. The 3 super-star players are his and if he wants more players, he has 1.5 left for a single player and then can sign walk-ons.
