Practice Squad | Advice
I do not understand the Practice squad component to this. How do these players help? Where are they listed once you sign them? When would you need them since the current players on the roster has such high EN?
I feel like I am missing out on something important but just can't wrap my head around it. Any advice would be appreciated. (Tex is freaking me out)

Not sure what is freaking you out, but here is advice:
Redshirting a player gains them an extra year of eligibility. These players will start with age “0” instead of age “1.” But, as a redshirt, they are limited to playing 4 or fewer regular season games. So, you should factor how significant you expect their contribution will be to this year’s team, when deciding to redshirt.
In this league, each team is allowed to redshirt up to 15 first year players. For a team with the maximum who wants 15 redshirts, 10 will start the season in the PS “IR” slots, and 5 will start the season on the 53 man roster in “I” slots. Through the 12-week schedule, each week a redshirt is placed in one of the 46 “A” or “O” slots, they see playing time, and that game will count against their 4. If they exceed 4 games during that time they lose their redshirt, and age from “0” to “1.”
Since Oregon has 9 first year players as it currently stands, you could have up to 9 redshirts. However, in order to redshirt all of your first year players, you’d need to sign some walk-ons or transfers from the “free agent draft pool” to maintain your 53 man roster.
Alternatively, and importantly, you don’t have to redshirt anyone. If you expect to rely on your 9 first year players to all be significant contributors, redshirt none, and let them all age to “1.” Just be aware that in this event, your team will be aging a bit faster in comparison to those that are redshirting players.
In between redshirting every first year player, and redshirting none, there are many possibilities. I would think somewhere in these possibilities is the one that’s best for Oregon.

Thank you for the help. I put in some selections for the RS and PS parts of league play.
So, if I am understanding correctly, during the season I have the option of having the RS who are inactive on the active roster play in up to 4 games and their years still stay at 0 for next season. How does the PS factor into season play? Do I need to pull players from there or are they there primarily for Injuries and saving them for next year without aging? Can I put players who have already aged 1 or more years on the practice squad or is it only for rookies?

Any redshirt can play. They age to “1” if they play a 5th regular season game. Any redshirt can play in the postseason.
You can put older players in the PS slots. In future seasons, they’ll be immediately signable by another team through the transfer portal. But, this year, we basically had a double size class of recruits, and nobody has points to sign another team’s PS players.
At season’s end we all cut down to 53, any players remaining on the PS enter the transfer portal.
This is my understanding of all of this.

It is in the rules. Only players on PS can transfer, if a team bids on them. Since bids start at 1 point, and all recruiting points except .5 ny ND, were spent in recruiting, no teams have points this season to bid on PS players in the transfer portal.

Is that what is meant by someone posting it is like having 2-recruiting classes.
