& I cannot find these answers in the manual.
Is it true that when FBP ‘98’s DBs-LBs Man2Man coverage language Receiver means Wide Receiver, Slot Receivers (closer to last Off. player on The Line/In The Box) & TEs? I assume it is, but just to make sure.
If a defensive play has too many DBs & LBs covering only Receivers, through Man2Man coverage,
For dealing with the Off. play’s more RBs going out for passes than Recievers
Will the extra M2Ming for Receivers DBs-LBs:
Simply do nothing,
Blitz
Or
Find the nearest Off. player in a pass route to cover?
From my watching my games, with my created plays, I would guess the answer is Find the nearest Off. player in a pass route to cover.
Does the setting-up order of players to replace tired or injured players (with the play creating feature) still work?
A little lite-hearted gab at The FBP ‘98 Manuel writers-creators-
While I was playing ‘93 version, before finally being able to buy the ‘98 version, I was creating plays where I was moving 1-4 of the 5-OLmen, far & wide*, then of course I quickly found-out that is barely, feet only, able to be done. The manual exact words are- “After you have loaded a play or formation, you may move any player except the center.” Just get your binoculars out to make sure OGs have moved & ready be disappointed with even how far The OTs have moved.
For those do not know, IRW FB all players in an Off. play can be moved, even the center, as long as 7-players are maintained always, before the snap, move & replace. IRW FB OC can be moved outside one of the OTs, & a OG snaps the ball. Heck IRW FB the entire OL can be moved, as long as the Off. Player (does not have to be a OLmen) that snaps the ball snaps from where the referees placed the ball, for the snap. With any heads up to the defense,
*- while not off of The LOS, & back on, but still better than ‘98 version.
LET ME KNOW, IF READERS WANT ME TO TYPE THIS POST IN BETTER LANGUAGE USE & I WILL DO SO.
